From all the years I've been online, there's definitely been a lot of conflicting opinions on Sonic as a franchise from the games, characters etc that goes beyond the fandom's bubble. However one thing that seems universally agreed on is that no matter how crappy a certain sonic game ends up (biggest examples being Sonic 06 or Sonic Forces), you can always trust that the soundtrack for it will be a banger (unless we're talking about Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood).
