RPG Maker/RPG Tsukūru is a series of game making programs for developing role-playing video games originally released in japan, later gaining popularity with RPG maker 2000/2003 branching into other genres such as adventure games, visual novel elements and most prominently RPG Maker Horror. As the years went by the program become notorious for such rpg maker cult classics such as yume nikki, off, IB and much more. Although not as popular as it was back in the 2000s there is still a bustling and loving community online of game developers and players.

I remember I was about 10-11 years old scrolling through tumblr finding fan art of some iconic rpg maker characters all together and being extremely curious about these characters, it wasn't till I got my first computer when I decided to download a bunch of steam games on it, one of the games being yume nikki, I soon started to fall in love playing more rpg maker games such as space funeral, off, ib, end roll, pom gets wifi, hylics, mothlight etc which introduced me to the itchio platform where I proceeded to search atleast everyday for new indie rpg maker games that caught my interests, I soon started to draw fanart and dream about making my very own rpg maker game which lead to me later joining the rpg maker amino (we all make mistakes) and later purchasing Rpg Maker Mv when it was on a discount and fidelling around with it (I've learned how to make/put in custom sprites and parralel maps). Unfortunately I am no where near having completed any of my game ideas from the past like 3-4 years and although I don't browse or play much rpg maker games like I used to I still have immense respect for the community of creators and aim to hopefully one day actually make one of my game ideas in the program.
