Maxwell is not a very adjusted person, to say the least, due to the ostracization and bullying he’s faced throughout his entire life, he’s grown to be very self loathing and nihilistic, even antagonistic at his worst. He’s fully isolated himself from wider society, becoming (in his own words) a “NEET” solely surrounding himself around obscure online spaces such as forums or his very own paranormal investigation/media-reviewing website.

Maxwell hates everything about himself from him being an intersex transgender male, to his cultural heritage/ethnic background and even little things such as his slightly imperfect teeth or how he talks. Thus he swears to never mention or even bring up any discussion of such, especially online where he plays a persona of what he as a perfect, ideal individual would be.
